This past summer I volunteered at a camp for orphans and children impacted by the Russo-Ukraine war in Eastern Ukraine. The camp is organized by Help Us Help The Children (HUHTC)/Нове Покоління and has been around for 25 years now. They do a lot of great work and not only provide the kids with a great time during the summer but also provide them with life skills that they might not receive back at their orphanages. Many of these kids are at risk of ending up in jail or falling into the hands of human traffickers.

Here, one of my kids defends her fellow campers from a cow that got a little too close for comfort during a hike/lunch and chased it away.
